Life for a life

Yesterday was a very emotional day we went to plant a memorial tree in memory of my mother in law Janet who sadly passed away 4 years ago of bowl cancer and in memory of her sister Margaret who sadly passed away in march from a cancerous cyst.

Before Margaret passed away she asked that her ashes be scattered some where nice. She didn't want them to be split between anyone one and she didn't want them to be just sat on someone's fire place.

Janet and Margaret's brother Ronnie found an amazing organisation called life for a life they plant a memorial plant for your loved ones and the ashes of here body feed the tree, hence a life for a life.

We arrived yesterday at the site where Janet and Margaret's tree was . It's over looks a beautiful reservoir and meadows the scenery was breathtaking. We were met by the founder of the organisation who told us about the organisation and let us take part in the planting of the tree. He did a little speech and let is take part in the whole occasion. The whole thing was beautiful the organisation does more than just plant a tree they also provide an amazing place for you to visit and spend the day. They also place your loved ones name in a memorial book in our case t will be in Oldham royal hospital memorial chapel and when that book is full it will be placed in Manchester cathedral. What an amazing way to lay the people you love to rest but also to remember them to. All trees have a unique number which can be traced on line and can be used for future generation to search there family trees.

The amazing thing about a life for a life is that it is also a non- profit organisation and all the money that is put into the organisation goes back into the organisation but also into charities chosen by life for a life.

I love this idea and as a family we are lucky that Ronnie found this amazing organisation to remember Janet and Margaret and I know that they would have bother loved the idea of this is we were able to talk to them. Margaret was a history buff and would have loved the idea that her name as well as memory lives on in Manchester cathedral.

The idea, the involvement an the care life for a life offer is amazing. This is a truly special organisation. It's a lot nicer and more pleasant of a place to visit than a grave and I know we will spend many a family moment visiting and watching Janet and maragrets tree grow and visiting the beautiful surrounding to. Janet and Margaret tree is sited at the strinesdale country park, queen mothers memorial medow in Oldham. There are a lot more sites around the uk too.

Of you would like to find out more about life of a life visit http://www.lifeforalife.org.uk/

Life for a life don't waste any of its money on advertisement an rely fully on word of mouth. I think everyone should hear about this beautiful organisation and know about the amazing work they do.

I thank life for a life for providing this service to my family and I looking forward to watching Janet and Margaret's tree grow and thrive and celebrate there life.
